Could The Lump On Butt Cheek Be Due To Cellulitis?

I have a very large hard and painful lump on my right butt cheek, I've seen a doctor at an urgent care facility and she diagnosed it as cellulitis, but it hasn't formed a head yet, I'm taking my antibiotics but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Are there any other diagnosis that this could be related too?

Hi,
The infection may not develop into an abscess with a head. I suggest you continue to take the full course of antibiotics. If the infection has not cleared up then this may indicate that the infection is causing a deep abscess. This would possibly need surgical drainage.
