Oncologist, Surgical 's  Response
The radiotherapy has probably been given to the spine area. This will not affect her life span but will decrease the chances of the spine fracturing due to the disease and also decrease the pain. The chemotherapy however, will act on cancer throughout the body and if there is response (which occurs in 60% patients), then it will increase her life span. Cost is difficult to say and will depend on which country you belong to, the drugs being used, etc. Your treating oncologist can give you a better idea.
