Could Spotting And Delayed Periods Be Due To Pregnancy?

Hello..I'm 35yrs old and had my my last menstrual cycle in July (July 6 to be exact). I had some spotting for a few days after having sex with my boyfriend a couple of weeks ago. My menstrual cycle is late this month..besides the obvious (pregnancy) any correlation that could have affected my menstrual cycle??

Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum
Missed/delayed periods may be due to pregnancy/hormonal imbalance. And even spotting may be due to implantation bleeding with pregnancy and hormal imbalance.
So, we need to differentiate between these two and hence it is better to undergo urine pregnancy test from morning urine sample.
If positive then it is due to implantation bleeding and if negative then visit gynaecologist for the treatment of hormonal imbalance.
All the best.
