Hello dear,

A. First of all, HIV cannot be diagnosed only on the basis of symptoms.
The presence of sinus problem & fever is indicative of Upper Respiratory Tract Infection.
It can be managed with a course of antibiotics, analgesics (like Paracetamol) & perform warm salt water gargle.
Kindly consult an ENT specialist & start treatment as advised.

B. There is no need to panic with thoughts of HIV infection.
To relieve your concern, you can undergo certain tests like p24 assay or PCR for HIV, which becomes positive within a week and are almost 100 % sensitive.
Even the presence of a single virus in the body can be detected by PCR.
So, if this test comes negative, you can be sure that you are safe.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Hi, your symptoms are not of hiv. Hiv symptoms are not appears suddenly . Symptoms of hiv are persistent fever, chronic diarrhoea, weight loss, weaknesses, lymphadenopathy frequent infection etc. hHowever it does not mean you are safe. she may have hiv in window period. so you should go for confirmatory hiv testing once after a month of exposure. You can go with p24 antigen or pcr. thanks for using health care magic.
