Could Severe Hair Loss And Loss Of Weight Be Due To Thyroid?

Hi.. This is Sreedevi..

My Age:29 yrs

Height:5.2

Weight:50kgs

I have a thyroid Problems from age of 20yrs..I have taken some treatments before..but after my delivery I stopped taking the medicines..Now when I checked my TSh it is normal only..But suddenly I started losing weight and hair fall..

Could you please let me know is't due to thyroid problem or anything else..

Hi,
If your thyroid function tests are normal - you need not be started on thyroid medications now. If you are having weight loss and hair loss, I suggest you to repeat a thyroid function test after 3 months.
