Could Rib Pain Be Due To Lack Of Proper Food?
Hi doc, my friend has a drinking problem (alcohol) and he rarely eats while drinking. Unfortunately he has been sick for 4 days, cant get up, and he has massive rib pains. Can you explain to me where that came from? is it from not eating? he only eat about once a day if lucky.

I really appreciate your concern if your friend have a rib pain then associated complaint need to be look for and this is cough, fever, fatigue, loss of weight if these are there then investigation is advisable like x-ray study of chest, if nothing are like this, the stop alcohol and no need to worry about this, take care and have a nice day.
