Could Numbness And Shocking Pain In Leg Be Nerve Damage?

I have been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst, and have taken a 10 day course of a progesterone, with the hope that the cyst will rupture. While waiting to see if it will, my leg is suffering from some type of nerve issue. Pain, numbness, electric shock feeling, etc. Should I be alarmed about permanent nerve damage?
