Could Needle Like Pain In Feet Be Related To Thyroid Pain?

Hello.I have a nodule (about 1") on my thyroid. I am having a left thyroidectomy next week to remove it. Yesterday I woke up with a needle sensation on the bottom of both my feet that has not gone away.Could this be related to they thyroid problem or is it something else? Thanks.

Hi thanks for using Healthcaremagic
The planned procedure on you is called Hemithyroidectomy. It is the treatment for benign solitary nodule. The remaining half of the thyroid will take care of the thyroid requirement.
I don't think that the needle sensation which occurred is due to the thyroid problem. Here it is the structural problem ,the hormone levels are normal.Hence it is very unlikely.
the reason could be the position during sleep. If you keep the limbs in the position for a long time ,needle sensation can occur..If you stretch the muscles the abnormal sensation will disappear..
thank you
