Dont worry. If your EKG and everything came back ok, you are not dying. It could definately be a panic attack. I know it is super scary and makes you feel like your about to die, like your having a heart attack or cant breath or something. Ive had them a few times. BUT, it may also be PSVT. Maybe ask your doctor about looking into that. One day I was just getting ready to go out. I was in my early twenties and had never had this happen before. All the sudden, my heart had a sudden 'thud' in my chest and my heart just started racing. It felt like my heart would explode or beat right out of my chest! I called 911 and they told me to take my pulse. it was 150 beats per minute. not comfortable and pretty scary let me tell you. They put me in the hospital for a few days and did several tests, which all came back 'normal'. Eventually a cardiologist said he believed I had PSVT. This is basically when your heart does not register correctly. It does not receive signals and beat regularly all the time. Its most common and mine acts up most if in overly tired because my adrenaline is pumping, which can trigger the rapid rate or a feeling of your heart 'flipping' or 'fluttering' in your chest - also a scary feeling. Its sort of takes your breath away for a second. So anyways, they put me on a beta blocker. I am on Nadlol 20mg per day. At first, it did make me SO tired and my blood pressure was pretty low but they said this was normal and would pass. It did. After about 2-3 weeks, i started getting my energy back and now, im much better. I hardly ever have the heart flutters and I have not had the rapid heart rate sine I began the medicine. You may want to ask your doctor about PSVT or look it up online and see if you think it sounds like what you experienced

You may be having panic attacks, yes, BUT, you may have PSVT. No worries, its not too serious but can feel like your about to die and its very scary. I had my first 'attack' when I was in my early twenties. I was just getting ready to go out and was totaly calm. All of a sudden, I just felt a big thud (my heart) and then all of a sudden my heart just started racing. I took my pulse and it was at 150 beats/minute. I was taken to the hospital and was admitted for several days because although it did slow down after a few minutes, it remained faster than normal. All my EKG's, ultra sounds, blood work, etc came back fine. They finally said I probably have PSVT. They put me on a beta blocker called Nadolol. I take 20mg/day. Since then, I have not had the issue once and I feel so much better, especially knowing its a pretty common thing for young adults to get and as long as its treated, its not serious at all. it can be super scary but you arent dying. im not sure if this is even what you have but it sounds very similar to what i went through.

hey! i suffered from panic attacks too on a daily basis! I controlled it now though...go to acupuncture and get tea it works trust me! yea i skipped heart beat on a regular basis too. my heart would beat normal than seconds later it would go super fast i'd start sweating and freaking out and not being able to breath...i also go kinda light headed. but im ok now. so you'll be ok! i was 16 at the time when this happend now 17 i still have panik/anxiety attacks but i can control it now. email me if you wanna talk about your problem but im sure you'll be fine.

I know what you are going through I have had this for years it is just an anxiety attack , it won't kill you try breathing in deep breaths in and out and and see what happens I know it's hard but just try it.
