Could Propranolol Cause Heaviness In Head, Dryness In Right Eye With Dry Eyes And Off Balance ?
Hi I suffer from anxiety and I am on 10 mg of propranolol a day and have been for 2 year's recently I have been getting what I can only explain as a blocked head where my head feels heavy and just not right my eyes are dry and my balance is off my gp says there is no infection could this be the propranolol
Firstly, the dose of Propranolol is too low to cause any side effects.
Further, people suffering from chronic anxiety, tend to have acute panic reactions, which can account for heavy head and off balance. I presume that you are NOT on any anti-anxiety drugs.
Lastly, heavy head, dry eyes and mouth and balance problems may suggest a possibility of an autoimmune disease called Sjogren's syndrome, which is commonly associated with other autoimmune diseases. You therefore, need further evaluation to rule out/identify the autoimmune disease. At the same time, you should also take anti-anxiety treatment.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.
