Coughing A Lot In The Night. Throat Is Sore, Hurts To Swallow. Ear Is Also Hurting. Have Brown Phlegm In The Mornings. Suggestions?

I have been coughing a lot at night. Generally it is only at night that I cough as much as I do. My throat is very sore, and it hurts to swallow. When I swallow it also hurts my left ear. I have been producing light to medium brown phlegm in the mornings. The cough is usually unproductive, but sometimes phlegm is expelled.

thank you for using health care magic,
it seems you having bacterial infection of throat.. bacterial infection causes swelling of you throat from inside that is why you are feeling pain while swallowing food..
nerve supply of throat and ear is common that is why your throat problem is causing pain in ear..in night due to cold enviornment your cough might get aggravate ..
take antibiotic.. you can go for amoxicillin or azithromycin 500mg once a day after meal for three days..
