Copd, Heart Failure, Shortness Of Breath, Fast Heart Beat, Smoking. How Long He Can Go On?
hey doctor my dad is 62 years old he has both copd and heart failure the right atrium of his heart is damaged he has bad short of breath. of my understanding he has this disesase for many years now and have been smoking on it which makes it even worse for him iwould like to now how long will he be able to go onn. and his heart beat is really fast.

u must ask him to quit smoking immediately or his problem will worsen His heart failure could be because of cor pulmonale .If he stops smoking ,avoids cold, dust and smoke and uses his inhalers well avoids extra salt and extrawater he can lead a more comfortable life
