Constant Pain In Throat While Swallowing. Better With Drinking Warm Fluids. History Of Being Choked In A Fight. Remedy?
Hello, I was in a scuffle with a now ex-friend of mine eight days ago where he attempted to choke me. And for the past 8 days it hurts every time I swallow. The pain varies throughout the day from light to mildly intense. The worst pain seems to be when I first wake up. Warm fluids seem to help reduce the pain some. I have no pain at any other time other then when I swallow. From self-examination nothing is sore other than what seems like the front of my throat almost as though at the base of my tongue area. From what I've told you what would you think is the problem and what would be the best course of action?
Well I do not think it is not a big problem beside a mild compression injury. After your ex-friend squizzed you it resulted to injury to your neck hence some inflammation of your neck muscles. All you will need is antiinflammatory such as prednisone or ibuprofen to get relief of the pain and inflammation. Put some ice pack on back of neck and sides, continue taking warm fluids and in a couple of days you will feel a lot more better.
Hope this helps
