Constant Itching In Vaginal Area. Tested For Herpes. What Could Be Wrong?

I have a constant itching in my vaginal area. It's been going on for years. I have been tested for herpes and the doctor said when she took a swab that if it was herpes I would have gone through the roof but didn't so she said it couldn't be. The test came back negative. Anyway, it's been going on for years and I can't seem to figure out what it is.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your question here, I will try to answer it to the best of my abilities.

Has your doctor considered checking you for vaginosis or if your vagina is dry, vaginal dryness has been known to cause itching in a lot of women. It is very easily treatable, so I think it is worth looking in to.

I hope this answered your question.
