Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Lack Of Oxygen, Have Memory Issues, Unable To Focus. Why?

Doctor, My question is. First, i am C.O.P.D. Have been for a long time, and getting worse. As it gets worse, so does my memory, and brain function. Hard to make a decision, can't focus, can't concentrate, i forget a lot, hard to concentrate on anything, my mind keeps jumping from one thing, to another. OK on to the question, Can, the copd, or lack of oxygen in my blood to the brain, cause this, and could this be alsziemers? I am 58 years old, and have hard jobs all my life. Just wondered if lack of oxygen could cause, or contribute to this problem?

Hi,
At this age normally due to cerebro bacillar insufficiency these problems are common.
And in your case as you got COPD, chances of having more reduction of oxygen supply to the brain might precipitate the condition.
Consult neurophysician and get examined.
Possibilities of having of Alzeimeres should be ruled out.
Do regular deep breathing exercise.
Ok and take care.
