Chronic Migraines, Taking Inderal, Only Getting Worse. How To Find The Trigger For Migraines ?

I have suffered from chronic migraines for almost 10 years now. I have been taking Inderal 80 mg once a day for the last 4 years. That has helped with frequency but now the intensity is getting worse. Is there anything I can do to find out what triggers my migraines or someone that I can see to not be so dependant on medication. When they are really bad, I take up to 4 different types of medicine just to get them to go away then I'm left with a "headache hangover" for several days following a migraine that incapacitates me. Any suggestions?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,
You should find out by observation if there are any triggering factors for the episode for eg. bright light/sunlight, TV watching, loud noise, missing of your regular tea/coffee, smoking, stress, etc and try to avoid it as far as possible. You can try Amitryptiline, Flunarazine, Valproate, Topiramate after consulting your Neurologist/Psychiatrist. You can consult a Psychiatrist for Biofeedback if you wish to decrease your dependence on medicine.
Meanwhile you can take T. Naproxen 250 or 500 mg to help you during headache episodes. Coffee shall help to decrease headache as well.
Regards.
