Child Suffering With Severe Cough, No Improvement With Ascoril, Taxim-O. Suggestion?
My 5 year old son is suffering from fever, cold, running nose and cough for 3 days. We were giving Calpol and Cetirizine . His fever is below 100 degrees now and no running nose however he s coughing a lot. The doctor prescribed ascoril along with Taxim-O and we have given him an hour back and do not see any improvement henceforth and he s still coughing frequently. Could you please suggest us?

from the history it seems your child is having viral infection in which running nose is very common,
ascoril and taxim-o are proper medicines. as you know antibiotics take some time to act..
but for now to control coughing NEBULIZER must be applied atleast twice daily for instant relief,
n avoid cetrizine as it makes the secretions in lungs thick and worsen the cough..
