Child recovered from typhoid, what type of diet or medicine would help?

I appreciate ur valued answeres. My son is 1 years and 11 months old, had typhoid and has recovered afer the treatment for about 5 - 6 days. he is still on mediacation. As i ve learnt that typhoid effects remain even after recovery. So What precautions sholud we take and what diet shoulkd he be given to him. Thanks a lot.

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Please give him typhoid vaccination after 2 years of age.

Try to see that he does not have food items bought out side from the shops. He should have home made food prepared under hygienic conditions.

Give him a balanced diet rich in protein and vitamins.

See that food items are protected from flies etc.

Typhoid is a water borne disease.So most important is to have clean water.
Wash hands regularly.
Give him balanced diet rich in minerals and vitamins.
Give plenty of fluids.fruit juices.
Give home made food items.
Avoid any junk food like chips,candies.
