Hi
Thanks for your query.
Your daughter is having symptoms of gastroenteritis which is mostly viral in nature and takes few days to settle.
Most important is to maintain hydration and monitor for features of dehydration like lethargy/decreased urine output/excessive thirst.
Give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each loose stool, give coconut water, lemonade, buttermilk, curd, boiled potato, banana, rice porridge.
Continue with emigo if vomiting persist.
Give lactobaccilus for 2 to 3 days and continue with zinc.

In case symptoms persist get her evaluated by pediatrician.

Wishing your child good health.
God bless..

Hi,

Thank you for yor query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child is suffering from gastroenteritis mostly of a viral.

The nausea and vomitings are due to gastritis and usually last for 2 to 3 days and then subside.

You can give emigo in prescribed dosage to control the above symptoms, so that child prefers to eat her food.

And the mainstay of management in diarrhea is to monitor and to maintain the hydration status of the child.

Give sips of oral rehydration solutions like Pedialyte, coconut water, and lemon water to maintain hydration.

At home curd and yogurt can be given as they have probiotics which are helpful to restore the gut protective flora.

Probiotics like saccharomyces or lactobacillus can be given orally with the doctor prescription.

Continue zinconia syrup as adised for 2 weeks.

If the motions are continuind beyond the course of treatment, consult again for the reassessment of your child.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.

Dear Roshtweety
Welcome to HCM
Greetings of the day.
It is common for baby to have loss of appetite during episode of acute gastro-enteritis(loose motion), give her sufficient oral fluids in form of oral rehydration solution, coconut water, lemon water with pinch of salt and sugar added. If she refusing to eat or drink, oral mucosa is dry, eyes are dry then don't hesitate to consult Pediatrician. Loose motion are self limiting, hydration and nutrition of baby is important.
Regards
Take Care
