Child Having Sunburn On Cheeks. Skin Peeling, Redness Under Skin. Matter Of Concern?
My five year old son had gotten a sunburn at summer camp three days ago. Now where the sunburn was,on his cheeks close to his eyes, there is a small circle patch about the size of a pinky fingernail. That is peeling and appears to be reddish under the peeled skin. I'm concerned about what this means and how to treat this. Is this cause for concern.

Is there any itching?
After sunburn, there will be peeling of the superficial layer of skin which is exposed to heat.
After peeling of skin layer, the underlying skin produce another new layer.
Nothing to worry.
You can apply a calamine lotion externally if there is itching.
