Child Having Fever, Swollen Tonsils, Given Antibiotic, Not Cured. Advice?

Hi. my child 2 and 4 mos. old has fever for 2 days now. We went to see a doctor and she said that his tonsillitis are swollen so we were given antibiotics ( co-amoxiclav ) but after administering two doses my child still has high fever (39.5) and does not react to paracetamol

Maybe if he still has fever , your physician should consider giving iv antibiotics.
