Child Have Fever . All Test Done, Normal Results Except Urine Test. Is This A Serious Problem?

Hi, my 6 months baby boy he is suffering from fever since 10 days i went to the doctor & he examine urine & blood test
CBP,CRP,MP,CUE. blood test was normal but the urine test is abnormal in the urine test LEUKOCYTES POSITIVE & PUSS CELLS - 6-8/HPF, EPITHELIAL CELLS 2-3/HPS. is there any major problem ? plz suggest me. DR

Hello,

Presents of Pus cells in the urine indicated infection.
You child is suffering from urinary tract infection.
The reason for this in young male children may be due to phimosis.
This causes collection of urine in the foreskin of the penis and causes infection.
Pot training to avoid post voiding residual urine which may infection.
A course of antibiotic and alkalinisation of urine is the treatment of choice.
