Pediatrician 's  Response
Based on your description, it looks like your son has a simple cold. Very common in this age group, children can experiences many of these during the course of a year with no bad long term affects. Not a whole lot to do here. You can use a cool mist humidifier or vaporizer in his room and not much else. If at any point he develops a fever or the symptoms get bad enough that he cannot participate in his usual daily activity, you should consult your doctor.
