Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Antibiotics are not required for every episode of loose motions. Majority of loose motions are because of viral infections and there is no such role of antibiotics in such a scenario. Only if the loose motions are associated with blood and mucus then we call it dysentery and antibiotics may be required.

Hope this helps.
Take care.

Hello,

Thanks for writing to healthcaremagic.

During tooth eruption,fever,nausea,diarrhoea commonly occurs.

Discontinue prolonged use of antibiotics.

Give ORS solution as well as lukewarm water to your child to keep him nourished.

If symptoms persists more than 7 days, visit a pedodontist as well as pediatrician.

Take care.
