Child Has Fever, Red And Itchy Spots On Face, Diarrhea

My 2 year old son woke up from his nap last Wednesday with a fever and red bitchy spots on his face. The fever is gone and so is the blotchy spot but he has had diarrhea for the past 6 days. We have brought him to his Dr and was told to keep him hydrated and off of dairy. This was 4 days ago. It hasn t slowed down. He s been cranky and very tired.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum,
Sounds like a viral diarrhea. It might take some more time for it to subside. You need to hydrate him well. Tiredness can be due to dehydration. If required he will have to be taken to a hospital and get him admitted for i/v fluid therapy.
Hope your child gets well soon.
