Hello
Thank you for posting your query on Health Care Magic
Constipation which has started only two weeks back is most likely to be related to his diet. I suggest you add a lot of fluids and fibres to his diet (green leafy vegetables, fruits, papaya etc) and avoid junk food. Also your child will need deworming but alone is unlikely to cause constipation. Also show to a pediatric surgeon. Sometimes your son may be suffering from a fissure (crack near his anus). That too can acutely cause constipation. For the same, you can apply some ointment like SMUTH near his anus and make him sit in luke warm water for 10-15 minutes, three to four times a day. Another cause for constipation is reduced thyroid function. That needs to be ruled out too. Hope that helps
God bless you

Hi,
For the worm which you saw your child will require deworming . For preventing the constipation you need to give your child a lot of high fibre diet like fruits and a lots of fluids. In cases of chronic constipation you will have to give him stool softerner for a long period like 4-6mths. Once he starts having a poop every day see to it that he has a regular poop time where he is made to sit in potty for a good amount of time daily. At present if he is not getting cleared you can visit his pediatrician for disimpaction of stools.
Bye
