Child Got Scratched By Puppy. Cleaned With Neosporin. Go To Doctor?

Hello, my son just got scratched on his foot with our puppy who is about 3months old. It isn't bleeding but you could see scratch marks on him. We know the puppy hasn't had any shots. He snapped at my son while the pup was eating. I washed the area, cleaned with neosporin. Do I need to take him to the Dr? My son is in good spirits

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for your query.
Rabies is a fatal disease so no chance should be taken.
I suggest you to get your child vaccinated as per schedule that is day 0,3,7,14 and 28.
Watch dog for 10 days and if it remains healthy you can skip last two doses after discussing with your doctor.

Wishing your child good health.
God bless..
