Chest X-ray Shows Suspicious Nodular Opacity At Right Upper Lobe. Any Thoughts?
dear doctor,
may i ask your interpretation of my chest xray(pa view) it reads as follows There is a suspicious nodular opacity at the right upper lobe. The heart is not enlarged Hemidiaphragm, sinuses, soft tissues and visualized osseous structures are intact
Impression: apicolordotic view suggested for further evaluation of the right upper lobe.
Hi, thank you for asking healthcare Magic. Some other tests like a CT scan and biopsy are still needed to determine the exact nature of the nodule but I think you should not worry so much since most solitary pulmonary nodules are benign in nature. In some cases, it might represent an early stage of lung cancer and a risk factor to this pathology is smoking. But if you are not a smoker, you do not need to worry. I would suggest you see a chest physician for proper assessment.
I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you. I wish you good health
