Chest X-ray Shows Suspicious Nodular Opacity At Right Upper Lobe. Any Thoughts?

dear doctor,

may i ask your interpretation of my chest xray(pa view) it reads as follows
There is a suspicious nodular opacity at the right upper lobe.
The heart is not enlarged
Hemidiaphragm, sinuses, soft tissues and visualized osseous structures are intact

Impression:
apicolordotic view suggested for further evaluation of the right upper lobe.

Hi, thank you for asking healthcare Magic.
Some other tests like a CT scan and biopsy are still needed to determine the exact nature of the nodule but I think you should not worry so much since most solitary pulmonary nodules are benign in nature. In some cases, it might represent an early stage of lung cancer and a risk factor to this pathology is smoking. But if you are not a smoker, you do not need to worry. I would suggest you see a chest physician for proper assessment.
