Hello dear,
The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to production & accumulation of gas in the stomach, which can be secondary to increased acid formation.
However, given the history that your mother has a
high BP, a fresh ECG should be done to rule out any Cardiovascular pathology.
Symptomatic relief can be obtained with intake of:
1.
Proton pump inhibitors (which prevent acid formation in stomach) like
Omeprazole,
Pantoprazole, etc. to be taken twice a day, half an hour before meals.
2.
Antacid gel can also be taken after meals for the same.
3. Regular intake of Anti hypertensive medications to keep the BP in control.
And it is also needed that certain precautions be taken regarding her diet & lifestyle, such as:
1. Take soft, plain, non-spicy foods
2. Drink lots of water to maintain adequate hydration
3. Avoid fast foods & gas producing food products like cabbage, etc.
4. Avoid smoking & alcohol.
5. Keep away stress, think positive.
Wishing her a good health.
Take care.
