Can Vomiting And Fever Be Caused Due To Liver Enlargement?

my liver has enlarged occuping 3cm below Rt costal margin extending the gastric regine to the umblicus,and has mass at epigastric regine.now I have fever,vomiting,abd discomfort,skin color not chenged,no halitosis,no edema so what types of lab exam shall I do?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you have liver enlargement with fever and vomitting with pain....

So here it could be viral hepatitis like infection by hepatotrophic virus or it could be liver abscess like condition...

Do following investigations....
1.USG
2.Liver enzyme estimation sgpt and sgot
3.viral marker study for hepatitis A, B, C ,E...
4.Serum bilirubin
5.urine urobilinogen

If abscess present then antibiotic given intravenous....
And if needed surgical drainage might needed....

If it is viral hepatitis keep immunity high...
Cutt of oil....
Fruits taken more....
Green leafy veg more...
Excess fatty and fried food avoided.
One tsp carom and cumin seed with water taken daily...
Sugar can juice , apple juice , caarot juice good one....

Rest is important....
Avoid strenous activity....

Recovery will be gradual within month in hepatitis.....

With keeping my answer in mind consult gastroentetologist....
