Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have what we believe is a spider back in the middle of my back. At this point it is red and about the size of a dime or so. I have applied hydrocordizone to it for the past 24 hours. My wife says it appears to be resolving, but still itching. Would it be okay to use clobetasol propionate on the bite?
Hello Hydrocortisone is a steroid and clobetasol is also steroid , so you can use safely . The insect ( spider or else ) bite also causes some times infection , so redness may be due to allergy and infection. If sting site is resolving well & good . If some pain present take some anti inflammatory like aceclofenal 200 mg twice in day with monteleukast+ fexofenadine 1-2 days . Cold massage with ice pack also help. Hope this information will help you.
