Can The Semen Results Be Inaccurate If Accidently Given 2 Days Before The Test?
My wife and I are trying to get pregnant and I was curious about my fertility so I went for a complete semen analysis. I was told I could not ejaculate for 3 days before the test but I think that by accident I only gave 2 days before the test. Nevertheless my results came back with a low sperm count as well as slow moving sperm.
My question is: Could my results be inaccurate because I did not give 3 days before the test? And if not, could a person with those results still be able to impregnate his wife?
Well, that can render the test inaccurate. I suggest your repeat the test and make sure your abstain for minimum three days before the test.
I can't really assess the results of your test without the values. However, the lower and the slower the sperm count and motility the lower the probability of impregnation.
So the chance is lower but it is always there as long there are sperms that are motile and normal in morphology.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Ahmad Nazzal
