Can Temperature, Fever After Hernia Symptom For Typhoid And Malaria?

Hello Doctor My dad is 68 years old and underwent hernia surgery a month ago. He started getting fever in a couple of days after surgery. Doctor told that it is typhoid and prescribed medicines. Now in the last three days his temperature shooted up to 103 and he has diarrhea. When we took a blood test, we were told that he is affected with typhoid and malaria. He was admitted in hospital and the hospitsl report shows negative for malaria and typhoid. What could be the problem and why two different reports are shown.0?

THIS HAS TO BE CLARIFIED WITH 'ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN WITH/OUT BLOOD AND EXAMINATION OF PERITONEAL FLUID ASPIRATE.TYPHOID TEST CAN BE NEGATIVE IN THE FIRST WEEK OF ILLNESS.SO ITS MANDATE TO CHECK THROUGH WIDAL TEST IN THE 3RD WEEK.MALARIA TEST SHOULD BE PERFORMED ONCE AGAIN IN YOUR CASE-BOTH QBC-QUANTUM BUFFEY COAT,AND SMEAR FOR MALARIAL PARASITES HAS TO DONE.THESE THINGS HAVE TO BE CLARIFIED FIRST SINCE TREATMENT AND MANAGEMENT ASPECTS DIFFER IN ALL THREE DISEASES IN CONCERN.ALSO FALSE TEST REPORTS CAN MAKE THE PATIENT EXPOSED TO UNNECESSARY COURSE OF ANTIBIOTICS.CONSULT AN EXPERT LAPROSCOPIC SURGEON TO HELP YOU FURTHER.
