Can Taking Logynon Pill Back To Back (2 Packs) Cause Delay In The Periods?

I have taken logynon pill back to back (2 packs) I have now finished the second pack and had a seven day break, in the seven days I didn't have my monthly cycle, I should have started a new packet two days ago but was worried as I hadn't started a period, thinking this is just a delay as there was a double impact in my body.
I have never taken more than one pack at a time.

Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
When you take the pills back to back, there would be no period obviously.
However, when you stop taking it anytime, even if you have taken 2 packs back to back, it is natural for you to experience withdrawal bleeding.
That should have happened in your case.
Please continue the second pack, without the gap.
You would have a period meanwhile.
If you do not have a period in the following week, take a pregnancy test if you have been sexually active.
Apart from a pregnancy, there are various other reasons for an absent period.
These include conditions such as stress, tension, changes in weight, late nights, erratic eating habits, hectic travelling, change of climate or altitude, ingestion of hormonal medications etc.
Hypothyroidism and PCOS too can cause menstrual delay.
IF your period is absent after a week, and the pregnancy test is negative, see your health care provider to rule out the remaining causes.
All the best.
Take care.
