Can Perforation In Stomach Be Closed With Surgery?

My dad, has pancretitis, recently had gall bladder removed and they left him with 2 drain tubes. One on his pancrease and the other close by due to an infection. A couple of days ago, he was readmitted himself due to dizziness and weakness. The Dr.s discovered that one of the tubes came out of the pancrease and he has been bleeding internally for a couple of days. They went in and did and angioplasty and found the hole in his stomach due to the tube. They closed the hole. He is stable right now, but I am not sure how safe he is. What do you think?

Hello,

As per our long term surgical experience, the stomach perforation is best managed with surgical closure. As now your dad is settled, he will be fine; do not panic about his progress.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
