Can Paraesopheal Hiatal Hernia Be Cured B Laproscopy?

hi, i have two questions. can you please tell me about the esohageal momentry ph test and about how long is the recovery from paraesopheal hiatal hernia surgery. My surgeon is almost positive that it cannot be repared laprascopically. thank you for this information.

To answer your first question, the esophageal manometry is the tests which measures the pressure within the esophagus at different times.
Ph tests is done to see whether the stomach acid is being refluxed into the esophagus.
The recovery time after any surgery depends upon the disease and disorder, nature of surgery, materials used, your body's healing properties due to any other associated problems like diabetes and soon.
Hence the time of recovery after hiatal hernia surgery depends upon many a factors.
Para-esophageal hernia can be managed laparoscopically and depends upon the expertise of the operating Surgeon.
