Can Obi Met Cause Hair And Weight Loss?
i am 27 yrs married female with pcos.my doctor advised me to take obi met 500 mg for 6 months.after having tablet for 4 month i can see my weight loss and lot of hair loss.whether hair loss is common side effect in this medication?kindly answer me doctor,thanks in advance

Weight loss can occur with metformin.The drug reduces appetite , reduces insulin resistance and can cause weight loss.
Hair loss is not a specific side effect of the drug.It could be due to stress or pcos disorder.
