Can Median Rhomboid Glossitis Lead To Hiv?

i was just diagnosed by my oral surgeon today with median rhomboid glossitis.. I aqm a gay may that practices very safe sex and was recently tested june 21,2012 on goole it says tha tpeople witht his diorder have hiv i was tested and had a negative test result im just scared

thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. the median rhomboid glossitis is a fungal infection caused by candida albicans. it occurs in the midline of the tongue. it occurs most commonly in immunocompromised patients. so it can be seen in diabetics, HIV infected persons, immunodeficiency disorders. nothing to worry take empirical treatment like topical antifungal agents like ketoconazole. maintain oral hygiene. i hope my answer will help you. take care
