Can Magnesium Supplement Be Taken With Amitryptiline?
I am taking 12.5mg amiltriptlyine hcl for nerve pain from my back to legs. Can I use magnesium supplement with it? I should add I was taking neurontin but after two months of 100-200mg doses at night only I developed several side effects including a rash at the corners of my mouth.
It is safe to take magnesium supplements with amitriptyline. Do well to take them at different times of the day so that the magnesium salt may not interfere with the gut absorption of amitriptyline. However, they are very safe medications to be taken together
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free t.o ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thank you so much for using our services, we very much appreciate this.
