Hi,

Periods can be delayed for 5 to 10 days.Further delay can affect your uterine physiology. Delay in periods by drugs occurs by stopping the uterine shedding. It should not be delayed for months since it can cause heavy bleeding post stopping the drugs.

Both novelon and loette contains Ethinyl Estradiol. The second rug is different which is Desogestrel and levonorgestrel respectively. Loette is very commonly used. Desogesterol is a newer drug and may be beneficial in acne related symptoms.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
