yes : I gave a pt Levaquin today foran allergy to PCN as prophyllaxis and on wake up from anesthesia he had cadiomyopathy requiring near re-intubation and cardizem IV to which he responded very well. ABG s reveiled pH 7.17 CO2 80 HCO3 26 (which is why we prepared to reintubate) I have seen this now 6-7 times after Levaquin. Is there any data supporting my hypothesis of cardiomyopathy induced by Levaquin?
