Can Inflammation On My Stomach And Hernia Be Cause Blood While Spiting?

my question is sometimes or most time I wake up and spit in my mouth when I spit I see blood but after spiting there is no more blood at one point I was wondering if it was my teeth bleeding but I see no evidence of that I recently did a endoscopy this week and the doc say I have inflammation on my stomach and a hernia in the aesphagus could this be the reason I see blood

Thanks for your question. Stomach inflammation or inflammation in your GI tract could cause you to spit up blood. Blood in the sputum could also be caused from nasal irritation dripping down the back of your throat. This should be properly evaluated by a doctor if it continues, because if you continue to lose small amounts of blood chronically, you could become anemic. Also, the cause of the bleed should be properly identified. Are you able to speak with the doctor ordering the endoscopy? They should be able to assess from your results whether or not the bloody sputum is related.
