Hi,

Continued use of laxatives can cause dehydration. Epidural injections are unlikely to cause dehydration. In my opinion, you should cut down on the use of laxatives that work by drawing water to the intestine to make the stools softer and voluminous. Instead, try increasing the amount of fiber in the diet. Regular use of laxatives that contains ions like calcium, sodium etc can lead to electrolyte imbalance as well.

Best wishes.
