Can Contraceptive Pills Cause Thrush Infection?

I have suffered from thrush many times in the past year. I have been to my doctor about it, who has tested me and the results have shown that I had a mild thrush infection. However it keeps returning. Could it be my contraceptive pill, Ovranette? At the moment, my discharge smells of fish, but is not a strange thickness or colour, nor is it itchy. Is there any way of getting rid of this odour? And why does the thrush keep returning, I live a healthy lifestyle and wouldn’t do anything to cause it to keep coming back so often.
