My daughter has torticollis and has been successfully treated with botox injections for about 3 years now. She is now pregnant (10 weeks) and is due for her injections. Is it safe for her to continue the injections during pregnancy? She has previously had two miscarriages at 6 and 7 weeks.
Hello, Welcome to HCM and thanks for asking your query. I would like to tell you that there are no evident data that botox injections can damage fetus, but at the same time not enough research work has been done to pinpoint that botox are absolutely safe during pregnancy. So according to me and as your daughter had two abortions already, i would not recommend you to give botox injections to your daughter, as this pregnancy is very precious and don't ruin it by few silly mistakes. You can always give those injections after 4 months of delivery of your daughter, but till then i would not advise you to give those, even though there are no data that it can affect pregnancy.
