Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Neither, Aspirin nor Dermovate is recommended for topical acne treatment. Aspirin has no role at all in acne treatment and Dermovate contains a topical steroid. Topical steroids because of there anti-inflammatory action can initially seem to work on acne but on long term use it will itself cause acne besides causing other side effects like skin thinning and telangiectasias, photosensitivity etc

In my practice i usually prescribe an oral antibiotic like doxycycline 100mg twice daily for inflammatory acne

Topical clindamycin gel during the day and topical benzoyl peroxide gel for night time application.

Topical retinoids e.g adapalene, tretinoin, Azaleic acid etc not only benefit acne but also help to lighten post acne hyperpigmentation.

I would advice that you see a dermatologist for proper anti-acne treatment.

take care
regards
