Can A Blood Test For Celiacs Disease Be Wrong?

Hi. I ve just received the results from my blood test for celiacs disease. I tested in the normal range (although I don t know what that means, exactly); however, since early last week I ve been watching the amount of gluten I ve been eating and calling myself going gluten-light since I haven t been able to completely remove it from my diet yet. I ve felt much, much better for the last week and haven t had any stomach problems. How likely is it that the test was wrong?

Hi,

If the blood test report for the celiac disease stated "in the normal range" means it is not positive for any disease.

You have not mentioned what type of test you carried out, you have mentioned the abdomen symptoms in specific, your symptoms may not be due to celiac disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
