Can Ibuprofen Plus With Codeine For Toothache Be Used Along With Blood Thinning Medicines For TIA?

Hello Doctor , My husband had TIA two years ago, since then he is on regular medications ,which thin his blood (Dipyridamole and Aspirin).Week ago he started suffering with toothache. Ibuprofen seems not to work ,today we bought Ibuprofen plus (with Codeine).I checked leaflet and it says in such case best to ask doctor or pharmacist. Is it safe for him to take it ?He is not allergic to it ,cause he used it before TIA. Thank you. AnnaH

Hi
Thanks for your query

Ordinarily, there should not be any problem in using the combination of ibuprofen and codeine even if you husband has had a TIA and is currently on blood thinners.

However it is always advisable to take medications under the supervision of a doctor.

Hope this helps
Good luck.
