Can Ibuprofen Help Treat Spasms Or Cramps In Legs?

I have been having spasms or cramps in the lower part of my legs on a daily basis for about 4 months. I do have bone on bone on the inside of my knees but not quite ready for replacements I work 12 hour shifts 6 days a week I am 64 are they related to the knees? They wake me up about 3 am or cause me to have difficulty falling asleep I take 800 mg of Ibuprofen as my only medicine usually twice a day
