Can I Stay At An Altitude After Surgery For Pneumothorax?

Hi.. I had a surgery for my pneumothorax last year.

I have an apartment in the mountain around 800-1000m high above the sea level and i am planning to move there, i want to know if it is risky for me to live there to get another pneumothorax.

Thanks in advance

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

A 3.4 mm aortic aneurysm is very small. So, no need to worry much about this.

Actually, aortic aneurysm starts with this much small size only. But this can be increased in size if cardiovascular risk factors are present.

So, regularly consult your doctor for blood pressure monitoring, diabetes, and lipid profile checkup. Avoid excess salt in the diet, stress, tension, and be calm.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Bhavsar
